Common Questions
Short answers to what practitioners actually ask before adding the instrument to the tray. Anything else — call us direct at 1.425.802.2100.
A standard pick can't generate enough leverage between the bone and a fractured root tip without removing surrounding bone. The ExtracEZE is a surgical cutting screw — you anchor it down into the dentin of the root tip itself, which gives you the mechanical advantage to sever the periodontal ligament and extract the piece without flapping or invasive surgery.
Often two minutes or less once the screw is anchored. Most doctors using the instrument report reclaiming the afternoon appointments they used to lose to fractured root tips.
Yes. The fine radial point is designed to move through soft subgingival caries and find the dentin in solid tooth structure. Badly decayed teeth that used to force a referral can now be extracted in the operatory.
No. The ExtracEZE preserves the alveolar bone so the ridge stays intact — which keeps implant placement and ridge preservation on plan, and reduces patient healing time.

Two. The Short (SLT-50) is 18mm overall with a 12mm working shaft. The Long (SLT-55) is 26mm overall with a 20mm working shaft. Most practices that do any meaningful extraction volume keep both on the tray.
